Personal Electronic Device Policy

KMS is committed to providing a safe and supportive environment free from distraction, such as personal electronic devices, to allow for students to access curriculum and further develop into well-rounded and capable citizens.

To ensure this opportunity for all students, it is expected that:

  • Students store all personal electronic devices in their locker at all times throughout the course of the day
  • Have an understanding that progressive disciplinary action will be utilized if personal electronic devices are in their possession at any point during the school day

KMS Personal Electronic Device Policy

"personal electronic device" as defined by the State of RI is:

  • A smartphone, mobile phone, tablet, computer, smartwatch, or other electronic device not owned or provided to a student by a public school that is capable of communication through the internet or a wireless network.
