Personal Electronic Device Policy
KMS is committed to providing a safe and supportive environment free from distraction, such as personal electronic devices, to allow for students to access curriculum and further develop into well-rounded and capable citizens.
To ensure this opportunity for all students, it is expected that:
- Students store all personal electronic devices in their locker at all times throughout the course of the day
- Have an understanding that progressive disciplinary action will be utilized if personal electronic devices are in their possession at any point during the school day
KMS Personal Electronic Device Policy
A "personal electronic device" as defined by the State of RI is:
- A smartphone, mobile phone, tablet, computer, smartwatch, or other electronic device not owned or provided to a student by a public school that is capable of communication through the internet or a wireless network.
